“Capturing Tomorrows Engineers Today – A Plan for the Future”

Our nation is forecasting a deficit of trained engineers and scientists.  The Chicago Section American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) in conjunction with the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is sponsoring this educational program to address these needs.

Chicago area high school students will receive a career-planning day from the Chicago Section AIChE to acquaint them with chemical engineering as a profession. Students will also receive lunch and handouts from sponsoring companies. UIC will have staff present to answer college related questions from the approximately 300 Chicago area students and their chaperones. There will also be a tour of engineering labs at UIC.
